Colour, pattern and experimentation are at the heart of Lynn’s work, with inspiration coming from almost anywhere. Nature, city life, people and current events all capture her imagination and keep her work evolving.
Metal and stone are at the heart of Tom’s work, with ideas taking shape as sculpture, architectural details and functional pieces. His love of nature, design and the creative process keeps his work evolving in new directions.
Tom and I are both artists and makers, but we approach our work very differently. I love colour, texture and experimenting with materials, while Tom is happiest working with metal and stone, solving problems and figuring out how to turn an idea into something real.
We both have our own work and our own ideas, but we also really enjoy creating together. Tom can take an idea of mine in a direction I hadn't considered, and I do the same for him. Some of our most interesting pieces have come from that back and forth.
CNC Profiles has given us even more to play with. Having laser and waterjet cutting technology at our fingertips lets us experiment with different materials and try ideas that would otherwise be very difficult to pull off.
We never quite know where an idea will lead, and I think that's one of the things we both enjoy most.
